Types and introduction of main plastic forming methods
Plastics mainly have the following forming methods
Molding
Plastic powder and reinforcing, wear-resistant, heat-resistant and other filling materials are placed in a metal mold, and plastic products of a certain shape are produced by pressurizing and heating.
Injection molding
Place the granular or powdery plastic in the barrel of the injection machine and heat it to soften it. Then apply pressure with a push rod or rotating screw to inject the material in the barrel into the mold of the desired shape from the nozzle at the end of the barrel. Then the mold is cooled and the required product is obtained.
Extrusion
Granular or powdery plastic is continuously added into the barrel with a heating device from the feeding funnel. After being heated and softened, it is continuously extruded from the die with a rotating screw. After cooling and shaping, the desired product is obtained.
Casting
Pour the flowing resin with or without fillers into a mold with a certain shape, place it in an oven at a certain temperature under normal pressure or low pressure, and bake it to solidify to obtain a product of the desired shape.
Blow molding
First, the made sheet or pipe plastic is heated and softened, or the molten tubular material formed by extrusion or injection molding is directly placed in the mold, and compressed air is blown into it, so that the plastic is at a temperature higher than the elastic deformation temperature and Blow into the required hollow product below its flow temperature.
vacuum forming
The made plastic sheet is heated to the softening temperature, and the vacuum is used to make it stick to the mold. After a certain period of cooling, it maintains the shape of the mold, and the desired product is obtained.
