CNC Lathe Machining: Important principles to follow
1) Principle of maintaining precision
CNC lathe machining requires that the processes be concentrated as much as possible. Usually, roughing and finishing are completed in one clamping to reduce the influence of thermal deformation and cutting force deformation on the shape, position accuracy, dimensional accuracy and surface roughness of the workpiece.
Roughing and finishing should be carried out in stages with finishing. For shaft or disk parts, roughing should be carried out first, leaving less margin for finishing to ensure the processing quality requirements. For workpieces with holes and threads on shaft parts, the outer surface should be processed first, and then the holes and threads should be processed.
2)Principle of improving production efficiency
In CNC lathe machining, in order to reduce the number of tool changes and save tool change time, the same tool should be used to process all the parts that need to be processed, and then another tool should be used to process other parts. When using the same tool to process multiple parts of the workpiece, the shortest route should be used to reach each processing part to minimize the idle travel time.
In actual production, the division of CNC lathe machining processes must be considered comprehensively based on the structural characteristics and technical requirements of specific parts.
